Goa, a glorious slice of India

How about a holiday in a 3 Star hotel in Goa on the west coast of India? Goa is a land of waving palms, miles of golden sands and lush greenery. It has an amazing cultural heritage, magnificent churches, temples and monuments and a unique culture synthesis of the east and west. Most of Goa is a part of the coastal country known as the Konkan and the highest point is the Sonsogor, with an altitude of 1,167 metres (3,827 feet). In summer, temperatures range between 26 and 33 degrees centigrade. In winter they are between 20 and 31. The rainfall is 550 cms a year falling from June to September.

Apart from Arossim Beach where our recommended hotel and resort are situated, there are as many as ten other named beaches in the area of Goa.

There are also a number of interesting museums and art galleries to visit in Goa, as well as fabulous temples , churches, mosques and historical monuments by the dozen – astounding temples!

What’s more there are six other main towns to experience in this area, wildlife and bird sanctuaries and the Bondla Forest. You could see things which are endemic to India. Endemism is high among plants especially, 33%. India contains 172 or 2.9% of IUCN-designated threatened species. Surely these are worth getting a glimpse of before it might be too late. There are also waterfalls, lakes and springs to enjoy in Goa. In addition to the many beaches, these could be very refreshing especially during a holiday in India during the warmer season. Many conducted tours are organized to help visitors enjoy their holidays. Some trips include quite a number of diverse places of interest. You will probably feast your eyes, and then return to your cool hotel with beautiful handicraft items to take home as souvenirs and gifts.

Arossim Beach is very quiet. It is wide, beautifully sandy and extremely picturesque. Water sports are available.

In an elevated position on the Beach is one of the most popular beach “shacks” called ‘Zeebop’ which is just the best place to sit with a cold beer in the afternoon whilst enjoying the superb sunsets.

Go for it. Treat yourself to a superb taste of India on holiday in Goa on Arossim Beach in a 3 Star Heritage village.
