If palm trees and lots of blue water turn you on, you would do well to choose Cuba for your next holiday.
Cuba is an island nation in the Caribbean Sea. It consists of the main island of Cuba plus the Isla de la Juventad and several archipelagos. Havana, a city on the island of Cuba is the capital city of Cuba. The inhabitants, culture and customs come from diverse places such as Spain, Africa and the U.S.A. It may be an authoritarian democracy, but literacy and health have been given high priority there. Spanish is the most common language. Festivals take place at all times of the year, but January to May is the ideal time to visit temperature-wise. Restaurant meals are delicious and incredibly cheap, many dishes being of Spanish origin.
One of the best resorts is Varadero, where, if you are brave and daring you can go skydiving. You would land onto Varadero’s white sandy beach. There are also ultralite flights from the beach.
Car hire is available in the Varadero Airport or through various hotels. Take a ride in a glorious automobile, the old American way. Some hotels organize transfer buses and there is an open-topped bus to town but there are no trains. There is a large shopping mall, restaurants and an open-air market-place. Varadero is in a relatively exclusive part of Cuba, with many private hotels, fantastic beaches and Cuba’s only full golf course. So this could be an ideal choice of holiday destination if you need your golf amongst many other activities. The sea water is warm, turquoise. In fact, Varadero could be your little bit of paradise. Another fun thing, there are motorized trikes called coco taxis available for getting around. These are enclosed and appear rather like car-sized oranges. There are also horse-drawn carriages for hire for a stately ride, plus mopeds to ride throughout town. You can jump on one of these with just a learner’s license even. You will be overwhelmed by the great variety of things to see and do in Varadero, from camel riding for children to cabaret, one of the latter lasting 5 hours! Rest assured you will have a whale of a time on holiday in Varadero.
Guardalavaca is another resort well worth your consideration for a holiday in Cuba. Here too you could enjoy white sandy beaches. Guardalavaca provides the ultimate in relaxing holidays in luxurious hotels, with the excitement of diving and snorkeling to explore the coral reefs and plentiful sea life. After swimming with dolphins, you could go horse-riding. Make your holiday as hectic or lazy as you wish. For a change of scene, drive out away from the beach at Guardalavaca and you will see sugar cane plantations. The countryside is vast, but even the beaches never feel too crowded. That fact alone has to gain a point in this holiday destination’s favour. Moreover Cuba is famous for its hospitality. You would not be disappointed.
The blog points you to six of the main holiday providers and the multitude of deals and offers available.

Holidays in Croatia
There are many types of accommodation on offer in Croatia and many different resorts, so here is some information about the country in the first place, followed by some of the resorts – Cavtat, Dubrovnik, Korcula, Lopud Island, Porec and Rovinj. You can check on the country, Croatia at Kerplosh to see what is available and hopefully to your liking.
The Croatian currency is the Kuna. The climate is diverse, mostly continental and Mediterranean. Croatia is bordered on the west by the Adriatic Sea and has a long coastline traced by more than a thousand islands. The main religion is Roman Catholicism. Since Croatia was released from the shackles of communism and became an independent republic, human development has reached a high standard, and there is income equality.
At the moment, Croatia is ranked the 18th most popular tourist destination in the world, a country proud of its culture, art, cuisine and wines.
The resort of Cavtat is very popular for holidays. It is the most southern town of Croatia and is one of the nicest places on earth. For your amusement you could take a trip in a glass boat on the bay of Cavtat to watch fish at the bottom of the sea, visit the islands whilst enjoying a drink on board, wander around some nearby villages. There are several restaurants to choose from in and around Cavtat. If it is more energetic activities you are after, diving and water sports are available.
Holidays in Dubrovnik can be relaxing in Spring or Summer. A number of historic buildings can still be seen today.
The resort of Korcula offers, amongst others, Self Catering Deals at the 3 star Grgic Apartments which occupy a most picturesque setting, whilst you enjoy the pool and sundeck.
Lopud Island is car free and boasts 1.2 km of sandy beaches. There are nature trails to be explored on this island. Lopud Harbour has beachside cafes, and Dubrovnik Old Town is 9 km away. It can be reached by ferry. So if it’s a really quiet but beautiful holiday for which you yearn, Lopud would be ideal.
Several different types of accommodation are on offer in Porec. This resort has breathtaking views and a Historical Centre. The local people are lovely, and eating out is inexpensive and always delicious.
Rovinj is a resort backed by forest but facing the sea with an immaculate marina. Rovinj will satisfy your gourmet desires and also offers naturism – a little different from ordinary, consumer tourism demand patterns. Always wanted an all-over tan? A holiday on Rovinj is the choice for you then.

Corsica, France
To go on holiday to Corsica could be quite unusual. Although nearer to the Italian mainland than to France, the island is one of the 27 regions of France. Meanwhile its culture is both French and Italian. Napoleon Bonaparte was born in Ajaccio, Corsica. His ancestral home, Casa Buonaparte can be found there. Corsica is also the birthplace of Toni Rossi, the singer.
The first things that you will notice when you arrive in Corsica will be its bluest of blue sea, beautiful buildings and nature at its best. It is a land of character too. In an outstanding protected setting, the seaside and long sandy beaches alternate with half-mountain villages. Rich in heritage, Corsica is equally rich in living traditions, gastronomy being the first and foremost of these. Especially in spring and summer the fish and seafood will tickle your taste buds, and Corsica has quite a number of locally produced wines to accompany your meals.
We offer you three star Half Board accommodation in a hotel in the resort of Pianotolli. Apparently beach-lovers rate holidays in Pianotolli highly. There is a glorious beach, absolutely perfect for your relaxation. The small centre has its own shops and eateries, and from Bonifacio which is a nearby dramatic town and port, there are boat excursions available across to Sardinia. The journey takes one hour. In addition some boat excursions from Bonifacio explore the spectacular coast.
The hotel we recommend is situated right by the beach and has delightful views out over the Gulf of Figari. The location is quiet and serene but ample hotel activities are organized for both adults and children. There is also quite a choice of beach bars a short walk from the hotel. More energetically speaking, there is the most wild diving off the resort of Pianotolli.
If all this takes your fancy, follow the link from Corsica to view the resort, and book a fine holiday in Pianotolli, Corsica with us.

Beautiful Bulgaria
We offer a choice of two quality hotels in Bulgaria. Both are in the Bourgas Region. One is 4* All inclusive accommodation in the resort of Obzor Beach, and the other 2* in the resort of Sunny Beach (“Sunny Beach” -can’t be bad).
Several mountainous areas define the landscape of Bulgaria, with plains to the south and east in the lower central area. The eastern border of the country lies entirely on the coast of the Black Sea which is a warm sea.
Should you fancy an autumn holiday, you could do far worse than to go and enjoy yourself and marvel at something so beautiful it takes your breath away on holiday in Bulgaria. Pack your camera and raincoat, and take off to experience some Prehistory and antiquity (from even as far back as the 3-4 century BC - the world’s oldest gold). Listen to the unique rhythms, melody and harmony of the Bulgarian folk songs and chants. Admire and shop for the handicrafts, ceramics, wood carvings, colorful rugs and wrought copper-ware. Try the exquisite taste of Bulgarian cuisine and the fine aroma of Bulgarian wines. On a holiday in Bulgaria you could also discover fine art galleries, classical music concerts and folklore song and dance festivals.
Due to its diverse landscape, Bulgaria, though a tiny land, will show the holidaymaker curious rock formations and mysterious caves, sunny seashores with golden sands, quiet romantic coves and capes; majestic mountains with snow-covered peaks, crystal clear lakes and shady perfumed woods.
Bulgaria has 380 km of sea coast strip where you could revel in a holiday on these golden beaches. Bulgaria also boasts 550 mineral health springs. Fishing is allowed in lakes, dams, mountain streams and the sea. There are special grounds allocated to hunting.
A holiday in Bulgaria could prove a very interesting new experience for you. It does have a great deal to offer from nightlife to panoramas, pretty brightly painted quaint rural dwellings to wine tasting. Surely there is something there which attracts you to book a holiday there – tempts and will result in delighting you.

Majorca
Majorca offers holiday makers some of the most beautiful holiday accommodation in the world. To enjoy a taste of this, why don’t you visit the resort of Alaro. Here you could experience a sumptuous winter holiday.
Majorca is the largest of the Balearic Islands and is part of Spain. The coastline measures approximately 500 kilometers. It is a renowned holiday destination worldwide. Palma, the capital city of Majorca is a magnificent historical city which attracts many visitors to the island. There are holiday attractions without number for visitors to admire – castles, a buzzing nightlife, and pleasant beaches on which to recover in a warm and sunny climate. The highlight of a holiday in Majorca would have to be a trip to the top of ‘Puig de Galtzo’, as the hill is called from where one can see the real beauty of the whole island – a 360 degree panoramic view.
It seems there are Festivals in Majorca several times per month, so there is almost always some saint’s day being celebrated with elaborate parades through the streets. These can liven up a holiday too, and are very lovely with flowers and girls dancing in national costume.
Majorca’s coastal resorts cater for both families and singles. The list of accommodation possibilities on Majorca which we suggest is quite long and varied. We would advise you to see for yourselves as there is a special holiday in that list somewhere for everyone. Majorca has many great holiday destinations from which to choose.

The Greek Islands
The most popular of the Greek Islands for holidays number about fifteen. Corfu is maybe the most well known. There are a vast number of holiday resorts on Corfu, whether you are searching for a romantic holiday for two, a great family holiday, a luxury break, or simply a great holiday deal. Do have a look at all our offers of resorts and accommodation. You cannot fail to find the perfect resort for your choice of holiday on Corfu.
Kefalonia is the second largest Greek Island, and is also situated in the Ionian Sea off the west coast of the Greek mainland. Kefalonia has somewhat escaped mass tourism although it has a beautiful mild climate and excellent beaches for the holiday visitor. As on most of the 15 or so, there are good restaurants, taverns, museums and villages to explore. For your holiday on Kefalonia you might like to choose Self Catering accommodation in the resort of Fiskardo.
Then there is Kos where you could enjoy Half Board accommodation in the resort of Kardamena on your holiday. Kos is a more southerly island, also with picturesque villages to see. Its circumnavigation is around 60 nautical miles so it would be quite easy to explore the whole island thoroughly in a week or so. Homegrown, homemade produce abounds, beautiful churches, restaurants, ancient monuments, and flowers blooming everywhere.
Rhodes is more easterly being in the Aegean Sea. We can offer you Self Catering accommodation on Rhodes in the resort of Afandou. Here again you could enjoy unique beaches, good nightlife, and go to see ancient monuments.
Skiathos is another great holiday destination among the Greek Islands. Self Catering accommodation is on offer here too in the resort of Aghia Paraskevi. Skiathos is a small compact island with sandy beaches, a port and lush scenery, so if you like to holiday in smallish destinations Skiathos would be ideal. It has much to offer despite its size.
Santorini and Zante are other fabulous holiday destinations in the Greek Islands. We offer Bed and Breakfast accommodation on both islands, in the resort of Imerovigli on Santorini and at Aghios Sostis on Zante. Should you enjoy your sundowners whilst on holiday, the sunsets over Caldera are said to be the best in the world. Zante is the most southerly of the Ionian Islands and one of the most popular of the Greek Islands. The northwestern area has quaint mountain villages. The central area is a fertile plain with olive groves and vineyards. The southeast is characterized by beautiful beaches. All you could desire for your best holiday ever is available on this one island.
So…on, on we go. There are just a plethora of idyllic Greek islands. Crete (also very well known) is off the southeastern tip of mainland Greece, a fair way away from it. We offer 4* Bed & Breakfast accommodation in the resort here of Almyrida. Crete is the largest and most heavily populated of the Greek Islands. It is an ancient land, full of history which has left an amazing legacy to wonder at and enjoy. There are also many good restaurants, plenty of nightlife and unique beaches, as in so many of the Greek Islands. There are at least seven museums scattered around on Crete, so your holiday could be an education – education mixed with relaxation, blue skies, blissful beaches……the list goes on. Who says we can’t have it all.
On the island of Thassos, we offer 2* Self Catering accommodation in the resort of Golden Beach. The name says it all. Thassos has been called the green Greek island in the Ionian sea, well known for its clean beaches, hospitality, tasty wine and delicious honey. It too has an ancient history which dates back to the time when Thassos was famous for its goldmines and marble. Many archaeological treasures can still be seen today, which would make your holiday quite special.
Now, on Skopelos, we offer Bed & Breakfast accommodation in a small friendly 1* hotel in the resort of Skopelos Town. Skopelos is situated in the western Aegean Sea. It has a port which adds to its attraction –picture and listen to small boats bobbing on blue waters with the metal rigging rings tinkling in the breeze. Not surprisingly Skopelos includes two smallish mountains as well. The port is noted for its architectural heritage. The second largest settlement is Glossa village which lies just above a harbor very peacefully with traditional houses. This would be a tranquil spot to visit on your holiday in Skopelos. A little more topical gossip – the film Mamma Mia was made on Skopelos.
On Paxos there is the fabulous pool to wallow in while spending your holiday at the 3* Amygdalia Cottage Self Catering in the resort of Magazia. Imagine a dip or several lengths before breakfast - in fact a leisurely float at any time of day or night. Paxos is a tiny island with beautiful beaches and is ideal for walking. It has been said that Paxos is one of the top twenty greatest escapes in the world. It has no airport and can only be reached by ferry boat, but is only 14 kilometers from Corfu, 20 kilometers from the Greek mainland. Picturesque, charming, unhurried, very relaxing with genuinely friendly Greek hospitality at its best, Paxos would be perfect if you seek a real getaway from it all holiday.
We have a choice of two holiday destinations to offer you on Mykonos. One is 5* Bed & Breakfast in the resort of Agios Ioannis, and the other 3*, also Bed & Breakfast, in the resort of Mykonos Town. Mykonos is very popular among European holidaymakers, especially for its nightlife. Since the 1960, it has been a tourist destination for gay people. A picturesque island, as all the Greek Islands are, Mykonos is noted for its windmills, and Little Venice where the buildings have been constructed right on the sea’s edge with their balconies overhanging the water. Mykonos is also famous for architectural structures and archaeological and maritime museums.
On Lefkas we offer accommodation in a 3* villa Self Catering in the resort of Aghios Ioannis. Make Lefkas your holiday home, and enjoy great beaches and rugged mountains. There is the Ionian Regatta to experience too which is held in September. The sea temperature around Lefkas can still be 27 degrees centigrade at that time of year, and the sea very calm, so a good time for beachcombing holidays. For less mobile visitors, there are cars to be hired to travel all over the island taking in all the sights. Lefkas is connected to the Greek mainland by a long causeway and floating bridge – handy for a visit over there whilst on holiday and certainly a new experience for many. Also Kefkada City is only 20 minutes by car from Aktion National Airport.
In addition, we suggest 2* Bed and Breakfast holiday accommodation on Lesbos in the resort of Skalia Kalloni. This Greek Island is located in the northeastern Aegean Sea, and is the third largest of the Islands. The capital city, Mytilene was founded in the 11th century BC, so you can rest assured of discovering a great deal of history there, archaeology and ancient architecture, which could make a holiday most interesting. Lesbos has a mild Mediterranean climate with exceptional sunshine making it one of the sunniest islands in the Aegean Sea. It contains one of the few known petrified forests. The island is quietly impressive with varied landscape, quaint hill villages and some magnificent beaches.
We can also recommend studios and apartments on the island of Samos at the resort of Ireon, 2* Self Catering, for a great holiday. It lies off the coast of Asia Minor. You would see marvels of ancient engineering on Samos. Pythagoras, bane of so many schoolchildren’s lives, was born on this island. There are pretty shuttered houses, narrow stepped streets and simple old fishing boats – all very refreshing for visitors on holiday on Samos. Beautiful beaches lie all around its lacy shores. We invite you to come and also enjoy Samian wine and folk art amidst all the Aegean colours.
So there you are, spoilt for choice again, but whichever Greek Island you choose for your holiday destination, we think you will want to return time and again.

You could even go on Safari during your holiday to see the ‘5 big animals’ living in their natural habitat. Although Kenya lies on the equator, it is quite a mountainous country, consequently the temperatures vary considerably depending on the height of each area above sea level. Mostly it is warm and humid. Kenya is named after Mt. Kenya, a significant landmark and the second highest peak in Africa. The Diani Beach Resort is on the shores of the Indian Ocean. It is an idyllic location for a relaxing holiday in Kenya, with sweeping sands. There is also a golf course nearby for when you require some exercise. Scuba diving and windsurfing are available as well. You will not be bored on your holiday in Kenya staying at Diani Beach Resort. If you need more excitement still, visit the underwater world in a glass bottomed boat, and when in need of a rest from all this activity, luxuriate in a massage. Visit Mombasa which is situated south, also lapped by the waters of the Indian Ocean, an historic port town now a cosmopolitan resort. The architecture here is traditional Arab (Kenya is a multi-ethnic country).
The Diani Beach Resort would be an excellent base for your holiday in Kenya, with the nature reserves and national parks just a drive away

Egypt
Egypt immediately conjures up the memory of Peter Ustinov as Poirot on board a wood paneled vessel on the Nile, later walking amongst ancient stone columns. Eccentric rich older ladies with companions or beautiful young daughters, flit about like butterflies as his sailing companions.
You could still enjoy a Poirot moment in person in Egypt booking a 4 Star Nile Cruise, which offers full board accommodation on a holiday in the resort of Luxor. If this does not appeal to you (surprising if it doesn’t), you have the option of a Red Sea holiday in Egypt, 2 Star offering Bed and Breakfast accommodation in the resort of El Gouna. There are many choices of holidays to be spent in Egypt, including cheap holidays in Sharm El Sheikh and Best Platinum All inclusive Holidays for which we can show you some fantastic Holiday Deals also in the resort of Sharm El Sheikh.
Egypt is an Arab Republic, a country mainly in North Africa, with the Sinai Peninsular forming a land bridge in Southwest Asia. Egypt is, therefore, a transcontinental country which is a major power in Africa, the Mediterranean Basin and the Muslim World.
The great majority of Egypt’s by African standards large population live near the Banks of the River Nile, where the only arable land is found. The remaining area which forms part of the Sahara Desert is sparsely inhabited. Egypt is a very ancient country (we talk about the Ancient Egyptians), where its amazing, gigantic monuments never fail to impress. The desert is like nothing you have ever experienced before with its temperatures, stupendous views and a type of light which invigorates people. Cruise along the world’s longest river, the Nile, for a balmy, at times sparkling and always romantic holiday. Or escape to what is called the Red Sea Riviera. Egypt has mystical, inexplicable delights to offer you on a truly relaxing holiday there. We invite you to get the most out of your holiday with so many things to do, so many astounding things to see and experience, by spending it in Egypt.

A Coral Island Paradise
The Maldives, situated in the Indian Ocean to the west of the southern tip of India, are simply amazing holiday destinations. For a fantastic holiday deal on an All inclusive basis, the Maldives are very similar to every man’s dream of paradise. Our holidays there are oriented to totally relax you as you enjoy swimming, sunbathing and scuba-diving.
The Maldives are coral islands, the tops of a huge undersea range of mountains. They form a ring around a shining lagoon. The beaches consist of white sand and the sea which surrounds the islands is the bluest of blue. Traditional sailing boats ply the waters weighed down with loads of bananas, amongst other goods which are traded from island to island. There are fish markets along the waterfronts where people bargain to buy freshly-caught tuna, bonito and swordfish, almost as soon as the fish are landed onshore. You can also visit fishing villages which remain just as they were years ago. The beaches of the Maldives are quite simply dumbfounding. You will see over-water villas. There is unbelievable diving and fascinating tours to be experienced on such a holiday. The Maldives are the ideal destination for relaxation, but there are sufficient activities for those who wish to participate in them too. Perhaps you have a penchant for underwater photography, or would like to go down in the Indian Ocean in a submarine, or, the ultimate in pampering, try an underwater spa treatment room. There is something to tempt and satisfy everyone’s taste.
You may find the Maldivian way of life interestingly refreshing. For example, they buy fresh produce for their food every day and cook from scratch – so healthy compared with the English way of life, say. Why would you want to keep chicken drumsticks in a freezer for several years??!! Eating a meal in the Maldives in the home of a local family would be an experience to be remembered for a lifetime.
The Maldives is the smallest Asian country both in population and in land size. The average ground level is only 1.5 meters (4’11 ins.) above sea level. It is the lowest country on earth, quite an unusual place to see in so many ways, so do come and spend a holiday in our resort, Ranveli Village in South Ari Atoll in the Maldives.

Goa, a glorious slice of India
How about a holiday in a 3 Star hotel in Goa on the west coast of India? Goa is a land of waving palms, miles of golden sands and lush greenery. It has an amazing cultural heritage, magnificent churches, temples and monuments and a unique culture synthesis of the east and west. Most of Goa is a part of the coastal country known as the Konkan and the highest point is the Sonsogor, with an altitude of 1,167 metres (3,827 feet). In summer, temperatures range between 26 and 33 degrees centigrade. In winter they are between 20 and 31. The rainfall is 550 cms a year falling from June to September.
Apart from Arossim Beach where our recommended hotel and resort are situated, there are as many as ten other named beaches in the area of Goa.
There are also a number of interesting museums and art galleries to visit in Goa, as well as fabulous temples , churches, mosques and historical monuments by the dozen – astounding temples!
What’s more there are six other main towns to experience in this area, wildlife and bird sanctuaries and the Bondla Forest. You could see things which are endemic to India. Endemism is high among plants especially, 33%. India contains 172 or 2.9% of IUCN-designated threatened species. Surely these are worth getting a glimpse of before it might be too late. There are also waterfalls, lakes and springs to enjoy in Goa. In addition to the many beaches, these could be very refreshing especially during a holiday in India during the warmer season. Many conducted tours are organized to help visitors enjoy their holidays. Some trips include quite a number of diverse places of interest. You will probably feast your eyes, and then return to your cool hotel with beautiful handicraft items to take home as souvenirs and gifts.
Arossim Beach is very quiet. It is wide, beautifully sandy and extremely picturesque. Water sports are available.
In an elevated position on the Beach is one of the most popular beach “shacks” called ‘Zeebop’ which is just the best place to sit with a cold beer in the afternoon whilst enjoying the superb sunsets.
Go for it. Treat yourself to a superb taste of India on holiday in Goa on Arossim Beach in a 3 Star Heritage village.

Tunisia
Tunisia is bordered by the Mediterranean to the north and east. This Republic is the smallest of the nations situated along the Atlas mountain range. The south of Tunisia is composed of the Sahara desert with much of the remaining land consisting of particularly fertile soil. During Roman times it was known as the “bread-basket” of Rome. It passed under French protection in 1881. Tunisia is an export oriented country having relations with the European Union – with whom it has an association of agreement. Tunisia has established close relations with France.
In Tunis there is a tram network.
Snow occurs in winter in the northwestern corner of Tunisia, where elevations reach 3,440 ft (1,050 meters). There is great environmental diversity in this country due to its north-south extent. The climate is temperate in the north, with mild rainy winters and hot, dry summers. Besides the president, Tunisians enjoy a significant degree of religious freedom, a right enshrined and protected in its constitution, which guarantees the freedom to practice one’s religion.
Due to its beaches, the town of Hammamet is a popular destination for swimming and water sports. It was the first tourist destination in Tunisia. It is located in the north-east. It is particularly known for jasmine, and that is how the tourist resort of Yasmine Hammamet got its name. All over Hammamet souvenirs of jasmine can be found.
Port El Kantaoui Tunisia is a purpose built holiday resort. It is a peaceful and picturesque destination, which mixes Andalucian style arches, narrow cobbled pathways and lamp illuminated quays with contemporary boutiques, restaurants, souvenir shops and cafes. Port El Kantaoui is well equipped with high quality hotels, a busy marina, golf courses, bars and beaches. Designed in a traditional Tunisian style, the resort is made up of brilliant white buildings, cobbled streets and narrow walkways.
Surely Tunisia and the two resorts of Hammamet and Port El Kantaoui beckon you to take a holiday in one of our hotels.

Aruba Island
Aruba is a 33 km long island of the Lesser Antilles in the Southern Caribbean Sea. This island lies 27 km north of the coast of Venezuela. Together with Bonaire and Curacao, it forms a group referred to as the ABC islands. Arubans are Dutch citizens. The capital is Oranjestad. Unlike much of the Caribbean region, Aruba has a dry climate and an arid cactus-strewn landscape. This climate has helped tourism as visitors to Aruba can reliably expect warm, sunny weather. It lies outside the hurricane belt.
Aruba enjoys one of the highest standards of living in the Caribbean region including a low unemployment rate. About three quarters of the Aruban gross national product is earned through tourism or related activities. The exchange rate of the Aruban florin as of today is 2.82 to £1.
The island has a population of just over 100,000 inhabitants and doesn’t have major cities. There are six main ones, some of which contain beautiful, ornate buildings. Oranjestad shows some fine examples.
As in many Caribbean countries, the holiday of Carnival is also an important one in Aruba. The Carnival Celebration starts from the beginning of January till the Tuesday before Ash Wednesday with a large parade on the last Sunday of the festivities (Sunday before Ash Wednesday). So if Carnival is your thing, why not book a holiday in Aruba Island to include this Sunday especially. English is known by many and English usage has also grown due to tourism. Flights are plentiful in Europe through Schipol airport in The Netherlands to Aruba. There are public buses on the island which run from 3.30 a.m. to 12.30 am. 365 days of the year, so it is very easy to get around enjoying all that Aruba has to offer – the beaches, places of interest, cliff-climbing, nightlife, shopping, Spas and Health Clubs, sailing, water-sports, fishing, and dining. The sea is calm and perfect for swimming along the entire 7-mile strip from famous Palm Beach to stunning Eagle Beach, and onwards to secluded bays for a private swim accessible by steps down to the water with gentle currents and abundant underwater life. Small private vans also provide the transportation services in certain areas such as Hotel Area (sounds ideal), San Nicolas, Santa Cruz and Noord. There are many places of interest on Aruba including Palm Beach, Tierra Del Sol Golf Course (for the keen golfer of course), and Eagle Beach to name but a few. There is family fun, and romance to be had by the bucket-load on Aruba Island, together with adventures and pampering. On Aruba you will be welcomed with a smile and treated like an honoured guest – just what you need. You deserve a relaxing break, and this island and our special resort hotel experience is absolutely going to give it to you.

Cape Verde
Most people only know the name Cape Verde. They imagine maybe a green promontory jutting out from a continent, or an island perhaps. It is in fact an archipelago consisting of a number of islands, a series of unlikely volcanic islands some 500 km off the coast of West Africa in the Atlantic Ocean. To visit Cape Verde is to understand the strange, bittersweet amalgam of West African rhythms and mournful Portuguese melodies that is Cape Verde music.
Cool currents in this area of the Atlantic separate Cape Verde from the rest of West Africa, keeping temperatures moderate, and a stable political and economic system help support West Africa’s highest standard of living. The population, who represent varying degrees of African and Portuguese heritage, will seem exuberantly warm if you fly straight in from, say, Britain, but refreshingly low-key if you arrive from Lagos or Dakar.
The beach of Boa Vista increasingly attracts package-tour crowds, but Cape Verde remains a destination for the connoisseur – the intrepid hiker, the die-hard wind-surfer, the deep-sea angler, the morno (typical Cape Verde music) devotee.
Santa Maria is a fishing city situated in the southern part of the island municipality of Sal, Cape Verde. The city is the third largest in Cape Verde, and is located 15 km south of the Amilcar Cabral International Airport. Living standards in Santa Maria are some of the highest in Cape Verde. The urban area is near the beach. Hotels, restaurants, bars and shops are within its main streets. There are excellent hotels in Santa Maria to choose from so whether you are looking for a 4 or 3 star hotel for an all inclusive holiday in this resort, or simply Bed and Breakfast, your choice will give you good accommodation with friendly people to look after you and provide your holiday requirements.

Mexico
The North American country of Mexico stretches between an ocean and a gulf. Take a holiday in Mexico to experience a nation rich in history, tradition, culture and natural beauty. The inhabitants of this modern country use their land and their resources to create unrivalled handicrafts, and a varied and colourful cuisine. Mexico’s tourism industry is strong with every state offering a unique holiday experience.
You can take up activities – and non-activities, if you will! – like tasting the local dishes, simply relaxing on one of the many beaches, shopping, visiting the amazing historical sites, walking, climbing, or being totally chilled by spa treatments. No doubt we have all heard of Acapulco, one of the most famous beachside holiday resorts in the world, Campeche, Oaxaca and Zacatecas. Whether your thing is archeology or the Caribbean, or you are looking for an especially romantic holiday for your honeymoon, or simply enjoy the observation of the stars, Mexico is an ideal holiday destination. There are various organised routes you can travel if you so wish rather than remain in one location for your entire holiday. You may be attracted by the Colonial Experience, The Don Vasco route, The Huastecas and their beauty, The Millenary Tarahumares or the thousand flavours of Mole. There is a wide choice of holidays to be had in Mexico, a great array of destinations with sun, sea and sand. Moreover if you are looking to take part in Extreme Sports, in the air, on the water or on land, extreme adventures await you all across the country. There is sailing a-plenty to be had from Macicos shores. You can discover the grandeur of the seas from places that no-one else has been.
Mexico also reveals a fascinating underwater world with colourful fish and priceless treasures. Best of all is that in some of the best locations in Mexico to try out this enjoyable experience – such as Quintana Roo, Baja California, Oaxaca and Veracruz – you’ll find numerous holidays where training is provided and professional equipment can be rented to take you on this unique experience.

Jamaica
Are you searching for a dream holiday? Then look no further than a holiday in Jamaica. Long ago its indigenous Arawak-speaking Taino inhabitants named the island Xaymaca, meaning “The Land of Wood and Water”, or “The Land of Springs”. It is the third most populous Anglophone country in the Americas, after the Unites States and Canada. Kingston is the country’s largest city and the capital. Jamaica’s climate is tropical, supporting a diverse wealth of plants and animals, some of which are unique to the country. Much of the island which was originally deeply forested, has been cleared for building and cultivation. The areas of cultivation contain sugarcane, bananas and citrus now.
Although snakes are common in Jamaica, none of the country’s snakes are dangerously venomous to humans. Beautiful, exotic birds can be found, and the Western Hemisphere’s largest butterfly is native to the island too.
There are caves and coral reefs to be explored on holiday here. Among Jamaica’s protected areas is the country’s first marine park, covering nearly 6 square miles ( about 15 square km) which was established in Montego Bay.
The music of Jamaica and the cuisine make the island very attractive, interesting and enjoyable as a holiday destination. Ian Fleming used Jamaica as a setting in the James Bond novels. The country has also been used as the set in a number of films.
Errol Flynn lived with his third wife Patrice Wymore in Port Antonio. He was responsible for developing tourism in this area, popularizing raft trips down rivers on bamboo rafts.
If you are nervous about safety you may like to choose an all-inclusive hotel accommodation holiday in Jamaica, or being confident prefer to discover the true more-original country in all its colourful tropical island diversity by going out to the various country districts from your hotel. However you choose, a holiday in Jamaica will provide you with the relaxing, invigorating experience of a lifetime.

Portugal
Looking for romance, discovering culture, living adventure, relaxing? Indulge yourself with a holiday to Portugal. It is a mountainous country with an unpolluted environment. Its pure and well preserved landscape boasts dense forests and rocky outcrops. Take seven days to discover the longest stretches of beaches in Portugal, along the coast of Aveiro, Figuera da Foz and Leiria – wide beaches bordered by dunes and pine groves providing shelter. In Aveiro, delight in the colours of the city and the white of the salt production areas in the Ria, with all the colours of the bobbing moliceiros (traditional boats for collecting seaweed), and don’t forget to try the ovos moles (a sweet egg-based dessert) wrapped in wafers and shaped into marine forms.
Take a swim in the clear blue water of the beach at Sao Jacinto in the middle of Sao Jacinto Native Reserve (protecting the dunes) or visit and spend a day exploring the architecture of Portugal. The monastery at Alcobaca is a wonderful example of Gothic design, while the one at Baltalha, built in the Manueline style, is equally awe-inspiring. In the North Baroque dominates, but you’ll also marvel at the Palace and the Convent of Mafra, near Lisbon. And last but not least everywhere you go in Portugal you’ll see traditional blue and white ceramic tiles.

Turkish Delight
Turkey might be the world’s most contested country. Its landscape is dotted with battlefields, ruined castles and the palaces of great empires.
Then again, if you want to simply unwind, spend an afternoon being pampered at a hamam, or let the warm waters off the Mediterranean coast lap at your toes.
Adventure lovers can head East to Nemrut Dagi National Park. Bon vivants need look no further than Istanbul, where the markets and bars are among the most stylish and atmospheric, and the mod Ottoman cuisine rates as the tastiest in the world.
The country’s tumultuous history has left a deep legacy. People who never had to suffer for an idea or fight for a patch of land can be overwhelmed by the passion of ordinary Turks for their country. But for ordinary Turks this passion finds an outlet, not in martial ardour but in simple pleasures: family, food, music, football and friendship. Sharing their joy in the simple things is a highlight for every visitor.
