Corsica, France

To go on holiday to Corsica could be quite unusual. Although nearer to the Italian mainland than to France, the island is one of the 27 regions of France. Meanwhile its culture is both French and Italian. Napoleon Bonaparte was born in Ajaccio, Corsica. His ancestral home, Casa Buonaparte can be found there. Corsica is also the birthplace of Toni Rossi, the singer.

The first things that you will notice when you arrive in Corsica will be its bluest of blue sea, beautiful buildings and nature at its best. It is a land of character too. In an outstanding protected setting, the seaside and long sandy beaches alternate with half-mountain villages. Rich in heritage, Corsica is equally rich in living traditions, gastronomy being the first and foremost of these. Especially in spring and summer the fish and seafood will tickle your taste buds, and Corsica has quite a number of locally produced wines to accompany your meals.

We offer you three star Half Board accommodation in a hotel in the resort of Pianotolli. Apparently beach-lovers rate holidays in Pianotolli highly. There is a glorious beach, absolutely perfect for your relaxation. The small centre has its own shops and eateries, and from Bonifacio which is a nearby dramatic town and port, there are boat excursions available across to Sardinia. The journey takes one hour. In addition some boat excursions from Bonifacio explore the spectacular coast.

The hotel we recommend is situated right by the beach and has delightful views out over the Gulf of Figari. The location is quiet and serene but ample hotel activities are organized for both adults and children. There is also quite a choice of beach bars a short walk from the hotel. More energetically speaking, there is the most wild diving off the resort of Pianotolli.

If all this takes your fancy, follow the link from Corsica to view the resort, and book a fine holiday in Pianotolli, Corsica with us.
